This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to invite suppliers to participate in Market Engagement, related to the anticipated re-procurement for an electronic patient record / clinical record system used for capturing health data and records across the Health and Justice area (including but not limited to detained estates, prisons, youth referral services, and asylum seeker detention centres). This event will enable potential bidders to better understand the Authorities requirements, healthcare in such settings, the contracting model and planned procurement process. There will also be networking opportunities for suppliers. The event is anticipated to take place Monday 16 September 2024 in Leeds city centre (further details are to be confirmed via the Health Family portal). After the event, there will be a follow-up questionnaire.<br/><br/>Expression of interest will close on Friday 6th September 2024 at 12:00 midday BST.

NHS England has commissioning responsibility for healthcare in all detained estates within England. One part of the service is to ensure that health records of any individual is captured and made available to other health practitioners across all health care settings. NHS England has developed a digital strategy that seeks to harnesses the capabilities of electronic health record (EHR) systems, dismantling barriers and remove gaps within digital integration in prison healthcare.
The main aims of this procurement will be to contract with a supplier that can provide an Electronic Health Care record system that:
* Provides equitable access to comprehensive health records, whilst having seamless interoperability with broader primary care electronic systems and other existing technologies within these settings.
* Is safe and able to manage health records that enable timely access to medical interventions, preventative care, and holistic wellness for every individual within the justice system
* Additionally, over the lifetime of the contract the supplier will be able to provide insight into future developments that will improve the system functionality, accessibility to data, reduce data entry errors; and
* Provides data analysis tools for commissioners to access and improve care to patients
