    "description": "WMCA will be undertaking a Market Engagement exercise to engage with providers of electric vehicle infrastructure in order to provide a better understanding of the solutions available in the market and to help inform on the most appropriate/desirable procurement route to facilitate delivery of the programme. The event will also be used to provide interested parties with more detail on the programme and to answer any questions that the market may bring. The Market Engagement Event will be held via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 24th September 2024 from 10:00 - 12:00. If you are interested in attending this event, please register your interest by email to william.pemberton@wmca.org.uk. Once interest has been registered, WMCA will issue interested organisations with further detail on the planned procurement and a pre-market questionnaire. The questionnaire will be used to support the market engagement and to get the honest views and thoughts of the market on their most preferable and viable route to market and contract setup. No questions will be scored and there will be no word limits for your responses. Responses will not impact participation in or evaluation of any future opportunity, therefore we encourage organisations to be honest and open.",

The Authorities intend to enter into Concession Contracts with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) or other parties that will fund and deliver the required services, namely a network of publicly accessible electric vehicle charging spaces that meet the needs of local residents and demonstrably support the WMCA's and constituent LAs' EVI strategies, in-line with the requirements of the LEVI funding.",
