Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is currently in the planning stage of a tender identified as "National Witness Service 2024 Market Engagement", which falls under the Legal advisory and information services category. This procurement process is for services primarily located within the UK and is set to engage potential applicants, including consortiums, ahead of the grant's application window, which is expected to open in early November 2024 and last approximately eight weeks. Key upcoming dates include a virtual market engagement event on 7 October 2024, for which interested parties must register by 2 October 2024. The current grant for the National Witness Service is valued at approximately £12 million per year, with an anticipated total allocation of up to £55 million over four years starting after 31 March 2026.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in legal advisory and information services to secure substantial funding and build long-term relationships with the Ministry of Justice. Organisations with experience in delivering public order and safety services or those capable of forming consortia to provide comprehensive solutions would be well-positioned to benefit from this engagement. The market engagement event will provide valuable insights into the grant's design and application process, aiding businesses in tailoring their proposals to meet the MoJ's requirements and strategically positioning themselves for the forthcoming competitive bidding process.
