Home Care Services in Bolton provide person-centred care to support people to retain or regain their ability to carry out basic tasks of everyday living. The Community Based Support element of the service refers to support provided outside the person's home which includes regaining skills and confidence, to enable participation within the community. These services are for all adults over the age of 18, with a diverse range of presenting conditions, needs and requirements. The Council went out to tender for a new provision (TC031 - Home and Community Based Support) which is currently in the evaluation stage. Therefore, the Council needs to extend the current arrangements in order to have sufficient time to complete the evaluation of the new tender due to the scale of the applications. The Council needs to ensure continuity of Service in order that it can comply with its statutory obligations during this period. Therefore, the Council has taken a decision to continue to work with the incumbent providers for a period from 1 December 2024 to 2nd February 2025. This will provide sufficient time to complete the evaluation of the new tender due to the scale of the applications. The Council will observe a 10-day standstill from the date of publication of this VEAT.
