Summary of the contracting process

The City of London Corporation is conducting a pre-procurement market engagement (PPME) for the provision of a design team to develop a masterplan for redeveloping the Tower Bridge Visitor Attraction. This initiative falls under the services industry, specifically Architectural Design Services (CPV: 71220000). It aims to enhance the current attraction footprint, surrounding properties owned by the City Bridge Foundation, and public realm areas. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with interested organisations required to submit a completed Soft Market Testing (SMT) questionnaire by 12:00 noon on 7 January 2025. The feedback from this engagement will help shape future procurement decisions, and participation in this phase is voluntary and at the participant's own cost.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in architectural design, design consultancy, and design support services (CPV: 79415200, 79933000). Participating firms will have the chance to influence the redevelopment project from its inception, potentially positioning themselves favourably for any subsequent formal procurement processes. Well-suited businesses are those with experience in large-scale urban redevelopment and a capability for innovative design solutions that can enhance visitor attractions. Firms can engage with the City of London Corporation through the CapitaleSourcing electronic system to access relevant documentation and submit their SMT questionnaires.
