Summary of the contracting process

The "Forever Edinburgh Creative and Brand Marketing Framework" has been actively tendered by The City of Edinburgh Council, focusing on graphic design services to support promotional campaigns. The process, initially in the planning stage from December 2024, transitioned into the tendering phase in March 2025, and reached the award stage by September 2025. Located in Edinburgh, the procurement falls under the 'services' category with a framework agreement involving graphic design studios. The restricted procedure allowed the selective involvement of suppliers, ensuring high-quality deliverables. The award was completed with the signing of contracts worth £320,000 GBP on 18 August 2025, having chosen candidates like Richy Lamb Graphic Design, The Lost Line Ltd, and Union Direct.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for small to medium-sized graphic design enterprises, particularly those skilled in delivering a rapid and diverse range of design assets across various media. Businesses specialising in graphic design, digital advertising, and print channels are well-suited for this opportunity. The City of Edinburgh Council's emphasis on collaboration with private tourism businesses and public agencies presents a platform for design firms to engage in high-profile marketing initiatives, furthering their exposure and influence within the tourism and events sectors. The framework aligns with the Edinburgh 2030 Tourism Strategy, positioning selected businesses at the forefront of Edinburgh's dynamic promotional endeavours.
