Summary of the contracting process

Nottinghamshire County Council has announced a forthcoming tender for the construction of a Kimberley Community and Business Hub. This project, aimed at stimulating the local economy, falls under the Construction work industry category (CPV 45000000) and is located in Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, UKF16. The procurement process is currently in the Planning stage with a future notice date scheduled for 13 January 2025. This development involves creating a new 3-storey building comprising office units, a multifunction room, and event spaces, replacing the existing Parish Hall at Newdigate Street, Kimberley.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for construction businesses, especially those experienced in large-scale building projects and mixed-use developments. The planned hub aims to attract investment and enhance community resources, thereby generating long-term economic benefits for both the contractor and the local community. Businesses with expertise in the design and construction of multifunctional spaces, and those capable of meeting the specific requirements of the JCT Intermediate Building Contract, will find this tender particularly well-suited to their capabilities. Involvement in this project could lead to increased visibility and future contracts with regional authorities like Kimberley Town Council.
