Notice Description
The Council is seeking to dispose of the site at Cartref / Redcar Drive with planning consent, reference 24/00058/FPM, for the development of 38 no. dwellings with associated road, parking, green spaces and ancillary works. The Council requires that the successful tenderer will construct and sell the affordable accommodation at the site to Stevenage Borough Council for an agreed price and to the provided specification. The affordable accommodation consists of the flat block (plots 27 to 38). Stevenage Borough Council may also seek the purchase of the freehold for plots 20 and 21 at practical completion for a fixed price. The aim of the development is to deliver for the community of Symonds Green and the wider Borough of Stevenage, exceptionally high quality, attractive, well designed / constructed dwellings to be sold to residents for private sale, whilst Stevenage Borough Council retains the affordable housing.
