Summary of the contracting process

Nottinghamshire County Council, acting on behalf of the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), has issued a Prior Information Notice for qualified suppliers to participate in a further competition to deliver Adult Skills provision. The procurement falls under the main category of services, specifically adult and other education services. This initiative will utilise the Crown Commercial Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) RM6348. The competition will be open to eligible suppliers within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, with the tender notice scheduled for publication around mid to late February 2025. Notable dates include anticipated supplier events in mid-January 2025, designed to provide key information to potential bidders.

This tender represents a significant growth opportunity for businesses specialising in adult education and skills training. Eligible suppliers who deliver Ofqual regulated training at Entry Level/Level 1/Level 2, with a focus on areas with the lowest levels of existing prior attainment, can greatly benefit. The emphasis on place-based activities and inclusivity aligns with addressing regional skills gaps and utilising East Midlands labour market intelligence. It is essential for interested businesses to ensure registration and compliance with the DPS prerequisites to participate effectively in the forthcoming procurement process and contribute to regional development goals.
