Summary of the contracting process

The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust is inviting suppliers to participate in the provision of Emergency Warning Systems for its fleet of operational, unmarked lease cars. This procurement falls under the industry category of "goods," specifically classified as "Sirens" (CPV code 35240000). The procurement process is at the tender stage with a submission deadline of 26 March 2025 at 12:00 PM GMT. This will be an open procedure framework agreement anticipated to involve multiple suppliers ranked in a cascade system. The contract duration is set for 1,440 days, with an estimated value ranging from £200,000 to £500,000. The framework may also extend to other Southern Ambulance Services Collaboration (SASC) members, enabling them to contract directly with the successful providers.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in emergency vehicle equipment, especially those with capabilities in producing and installing sirens. Given the substantial contract value and potential for multiple suppliers to be awarded, small to medium enterprises and larger firms could both find lucrative growth opportunities. The open procurement method allows for widespread competition, encouraging businesses with innovative and reliable emergency warning solutions to participate. The collaboration with other ambulance services further expands potential business reach and long-term partnerships within the Southern UK region.
