Summary of the contracting process

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is in the planning stage for a public procurement process titled "Motor Vehicle Body Repairs," primarily aimed at the repair and maintenance services of cars. This initiative, managed by the Greater Manchester Police, will cover the repair needs of the GMP's fleet vehicles through a framework agreement likely to involve multiple suppliers. The framework is intended to commence in the third quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year, with planning and future notices expected by 3rd November 2025. The procurement falls under the services category and is geographically located in the UK, specifically within the region of UKD3.

This procurement process presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in vehicle repair and maintenance services, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as the framework is explicitly designed to accommodate them. Companies with the capacity to manage framework agreements and provide comprehensive repair services will find this tender appealing. Leveraging this opportunity can lead to business expansion through long-term contracts and collaborations with public authorities like the Greater Manchester Police. Interested suppliers should be prepared to engage through the Sell2Bluelight eTendering system, ensuring familiarity with registration and submission procedures outlined in the available supplier guide.
