Notice Information
Notice Title
Purchase of Sachets for Radiation Dosimeters
Notice Description
UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has awarded a contract to TLD Sachets Limited., for the purchase of stalls, headbands and wristbands.
Planning Information
Following a lack of alternative supplier interest to earlier notice, UKHSA intends to award a contract to its incumbent supplier for the provision of sachets for radiation dosemeters (extremity finger stalls and head bands). The sachets are required for the Personal Dosimetry Service based at Chilton. UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) provides personal dosimetry services (PDS) which measure the amount of radiation exposure received by workers. The service is provided to users of ionising radiation in a variety of sectors, e.g. medical and nuclear, which measures workers’ radiation doses by means of dosemeters or “badges”. UKHSA recently issued a Request for Information (RFI) for these requirements with the only response coming from the incumbent supplier. This indicates that they are the only supplier capable of meeting UKHSA’s requirements. If you feel that you may have a solution which could meet our requirements then we welcome you to make us aware. Please email Science.Tendering@ukhsa.gov.uk Subject: TLD Sachets by no later than 5pm on 9th June 2025.
Procurement Information
No other suppliers can meet our technical requirements as set out in the specification document.
