Summary of the contracting process

New Forest District Council is actively seeking tenders for the "Provision and Laundering of Entrance Mats and Overalls," classified under laundry-collection services. The procurement process is at the 'tender' stage, allowing interested parties to submit proposals by 12:00 noon on 16th May 2025. This open competition, which follows an 'open' procurement method below threshold, requires submissions to be made through the Council's e-tendering platform, Pro-Contract, hosted on the South East Business Portal (SEBP). The service includes delivering and laundering entrance mats and overalls across three Council-operated sites within the New Forest district, including the National Park area, valued at £60,000 GBP. The contract will span from 1st June 2025 to 31st March 2028, with potential for two one-year extensions.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in laundry and facility management services. Small to medium enterprises with expertise in logistics, quality service delivery, and cost-effective solutions are well-positioned to compete, especially as the award criteria prioritise 60% cost and 40% quality. With the tender covering diverse locations from coastal Lymington to Ringwood, companies providing customised regional services stand to benefit from this contract's growth potential. The extended contract period and the possibility of renewals offer long-term engagement opportunities, making this an attractive prospect for businesses aiming to expand their portfolio within the public sector.
