Summary of the contracting process

Suffolk County Council is currently in the planning stage of a tender process for the procurement of evidence-based parenting programmes under the title "Parenting Interventions". The objective of these programmes is to deliver virtual support to improve parenting skills, parent-child relationships, child behaviour, and overall family well-being. The tender falls within the industry categories of education and training, as well as health and social work services, and is part of the public authority's sub-central government operations. A virtual market engagement event is scheduled for 28th May 2025 to gauge potential service providers, with the procurement communication planned for further notices by 19th June 2025. The services will be delivered across the UKH1 region of the United Kingdom, with the contract period set from 15th September 2025 to 14th September 2027, with a potential extension to 2028.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in online education, health services, and family support programmes. Companies that can provide flexible course scheduling, such as day or evening sessions, and possess accredited practitioners for service delivery are well-suited to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, given the procurement's suitability criteria. The procurement process allows providers to bid for one or multiple Lots, potentially maximising service offerings and fostering business growth through expanded service portfolio and partnerships.
