Provision of Blood Sciences Managed Laboratory Service
Notice Description
The scope of the blood sciences managed service will include the provision of all blood sciences equipment, maintenance, staff training, reagents & consumables, associated IT systems and enabling works for the delivery of chemistry, immunoassay, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion, and immunology services. Other tests such as Point of Care Testing may be considered at a later stage of the procurement as part of the Contract. Tenderers should use the information provided as part of this tender to propose innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the outlined needs of the Contracting Authority.

Lot 1
Options: As this contract will operate as a managed service for the duration of the contract, the Authority reserves the right to procure any blood science-related equipment or associated services, including point-of-care testing, where required to support clinical operations within the scope of this procurement.
Renewal: The parties can mutually agree in writing any extensions to the contract to a total maximum extension period of 9 years

Engagement will be conducted through meetings/in-person discussions/telephone discussions with potential primary providers who can provide Blood Sciences Managed Services. The engagement exercise aims to establish a suitable procurement approach that meets the Contracting Authority's objectives, to establish the specification and award criteria, and to identify potential suppliers of the required services.
