Notice Description

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Procurement Services on behalf of The Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust is seeking a provider of Vehicle Tail Lift Services to perform statutory thorough examinations, routine service work and effective repairs as required. Due to the large geography of the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust's area of operation the Service is being tendered in four (4) geographical lots: * Lot 1 - North Wales * Lot 2 - Central Wales * Lot 3 - South Central Wales * Lot 4 - South East Wales The work within the scope of this procurement is a regulatory requirement, under Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). This is a specialised service and can only be provided by organisations certified to perform this service. The company must ensure that the person carrying out the thorough examination has such appropriate practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of the lifting equipment to be thoroughly examined as will enable them to detect defects or weaknesses and to assess their importance in relation to the safety and continued use of the lifting equipment.
