Royal Harbour Boat Hoist
Notice Description
Thanet District Council is seeking to procure a boat hoist for Ramsgate Royal Harbour. This hoist will replace the existing 40 tonne hoist which is over 22 years old. The vehicle is used to transfer vessels from the bespoke hoist structure in the Royal Marina to the boat park. This is a critical piece of equipment for the harbour and thus needs to be durable and reliable. The Contract is anticipated to commence in July 2025. Important Information: All procurement documents are attached to the notice and available for suppliers to download from the Kent Business Portal (https://www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk/) and complete according to instructions contained. The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of formal Invitation To Tender submissions. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria and methodology as set out in the Invitation to Tender Instructions. Any clarifications or questions must be submitted via the Message area of the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 29 May 2025. Completed tender documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 9 June 2025.

Renewal: The Contract is anticipated to commence in July 2025 and will continue for a period of 6 months with an initial warranty period of 24 months, and 3 options to extend the warranty by 12 months each (with any agreed extension/s) unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract.
