There is an intention to run a procurement in the future for the provision of a Digital Technical Service to: Enable the Operation of the Maritime Trade Information Centre (MTIC) through an enabling and technical support service which focuses on delivery, operation, and capability development, following an Agile management model. Deliver a critical output of a 24/7/365-day service that during a maritime security incident provides real-time information direct from the bridge of a merchant ship to responding naval assets. This will be a re-procurement to follow on from an existing contract and will potentially be run as a call off competition under a Crown Commercial Services framework.
