Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "KS3 and/or KS4 Interventions for the Alternative Provision Programme" was initiated by Sheffield City Council, a regional authority located at Sheffield, United Kingdom (Region: UKE32). This process falls under the education and training services industry category, with a focus on delivering alternative provision programmes to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. The process utilised a selective procurement method through a restricted procedure, adhering to the legal framework provided by the directive 32014L0024. The tender has reached the award stage, with contracts signed on the 1st of May 2025, and involves multiple suppliers providing short-term educational interventions in collaboration with schools.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs specialising in educational services, due to its focus on localised, tailored provision to improve pupil outcomes. Suppliers with expertise in delivering flexible, supportive educational programmes are well-suited to compete for such tenders. Given the comprehensive nature of alternative provision required, businesses capable of fostering strong partnerships with educational institutions and adapting their offerings to distinct student needs will likely find significant prospects for engagement and expansion through participating in contracts like these within the region.
