Informal Carers Support provision for Cornwall
Planning Information
Current contractual arrangements for services that support informal carers end on 30th June 2026 and Cornwall Council is seeking to engage with organisations who work with and support the informal caring community in Cornwall to: - help inform the recommissioning approach for the new contract for Informal Carers Support provision across Cornwall and; - to understand the potential level of interest across this market sector The carers strategy development market engagement period will run from July to September 2025 inclusively and will include initial engagement workshops for service providers and community groups. Details of the initial workshops are below: Workshop No. 1 Workshop content: ― Overview of the project ― Key emerging themes from engagement work to date ― Opportunities to share views ― Detail of future engagement ― Timelines Venue: Truro Community Library, TR1 1EP Date/Time: 30th July 9.30 - 12.30 Please confirm your attendance to this in-person workshop to: adultscommissioning@cornwall.gov.uk by 16.00 on July 29th, 2025. Workshop No. 2. Invitations to the above workshops were also sent via e-mail directly to Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector representatives on 21st July 2025. These workshops will be an opportunity for potential providers to learn about how Cornwall Council are developing the new carers strategy for children and adults and a chance to share views of how carers are identified and supported in Cornwall. Further market engagement events will be advertised through the Proactis portal, the Council's e-tendering system, accessed through the following link: www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk. ref. DN 774681 Informal Carers Support provision for Cornwall. Participation in this market engagement process will not prejudice suppliers when participating in any future procurement. If you are interested in this area of service provision and/or in helping with our assessment of the market, please follow the instructions for each advertisement using the Proactis portal links. This is not a call for competition. As such, any future procurement process will be compliant with The Procurement Regulations 2024. The issuing of this document and the carrying out of this market engagement does not commit the Council to commencing any related procurement process or to a single means of procurement. In case of an unsatisfactory level of competition in the market able to fulfil the Council's requirements, the Council reserves the right to take appropriate action necessary in line with The Procurement Regulations 2024 to ensure continuity of service provision.
