Summary of the contracting process

Peabody, a public undertaking organisation based in London, is currently in the tender stage of a procurement process titled "PA0001 Framework Panel for the Delivery of Passive Fire Works." This initiative aims to establish a framework for passive fire safety works and mechanical & electrical fire services across Peabody's properties located in London, the north home counties, and surrounding areas including Sussex. The framework intends to hire multiple contractors with a projected value of £80,000,000. The open procedure is the chosen procurement method, with a submission deadline for the tender set for 27th October 2025, and prior enquiries must be submitted by 15th October 2025. Contracts are expected to be awarded by 2nd January 2026, with the delivery period commencing on 1st February 2026 and ending on 31st January 2030.

This tender offers lucrative opportunities for businesses specialising in fire-prevention installation works. The framework allows for a flexible allocation of projects, meaning businesses with effective performance records and competitive pricing can benefit significantly. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered suitable, making it an advantageous occasion for such entities looking to expand their presence in the construction and safety service sector. The opportunity to secure a spot on this framework can lead to continued work, subject to performance and competitive rates, with the potential for direct awards or mini-competitions determining project allocations. Businesses with expertise in fire safety and mechanical work in residential buildings are particularly well-suited to contest this tender.
