The Northumbria Road Safety Partnership (NRSP, formerly Northumbria Safer Roads Initiative NSRI) are looking to replace the old wet-film spot speed and red-light running safety cameras that are currently in existence around the force area with new digital cameras and housings. Currently, there are approximately 45 spot speed and 20 red-light running safety camera housing locations in the force area, all of which use old wet-film technology to record offences.
