Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for cleaning materials and janitorial supplies was led by Leicestershire County Council, trading as ESPO. The framework under the title "777_26 Cleaning Materials and Janitorial Supplies" covers the supply and direct delivery to eligible customers with bulk supply requirements across the UK. Initiated through an open procedure, the framework agreement commenced on 27th March 2026 and is set to run until 26th March 2028, with the option to extend for up to an additional 24 months. This framework was not divided into lots, allowing customers to purchase all their needed cleaning products in bulk from a single supplier, aiding in large-scale procurement across various administrative regions. The procurement stage concluded with the award and active status of contracts for multiple suppliers, including Alliance Disposables Limited and AUK Supplies Limited.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in the production and supply of cleaning and janitorial materials. With an estimated value of £125,000,000, businesses can benefit from establishing long-term partnerships with public authorities across the UK. The framework offers potential growth for suppliers of polythene waste sacks, soap, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, laundry supplies, and various cleaning and polishing products. Companies, particularly those offering bulk and multi-location deliveries, stand to gain significantly by participating as suppliers. Both large enterprises and SMEs are encouraged to compete, as the framework supports diverse supplier types, including those suitable for regional distribution and the fulfillment of specific goods or services tailored to the customer's requirements through call-off processes with or without competition.
