Notice Title
A483 Llandeilo and Ffairfach scheme
Notice Description
The National Transport Delivery plan, published in February 2023, reaffirmed Welsh Government's commitment to continue work on options to progress the Llandeilo bypass scheme. A preferred route for the new road has also been identified:- https://www.gov.wales/a483-llandeilo-and-ffairfach-preferred-route Delivery of the scheme will require the input of both multi-disciplinary consultants and works Contractors. WG is currently in the process of developing both its delivery model and contracting model for these inputs. This market engagement exercise is being conducted to help inform the design of these delivery and contracting models, as well as the WG's procurement strategy more generally.
Planning Information
The engagement will consist of two parts: Firstly, an in-person event on Monday 27th October at the Parkgate Hotel Westgate St, Cardiff CF10 1DA at 10:30am. The purpose of the event is not to inform the design of the delivery and contracting models, or the WG’s procurement strategy per se; rather it is to give potential bidders an overview of the project. The event is open to potential bidders, if you wish to register your attendance, please email A483LlandeiloandFfairfach@arcadis.com To attend the event in person pre-registration is required, with a maximum number of 2 attendees per organisation. Upon registering your attendance, you will receive a copy of an invitation to complete a questionnaire to inform the design of the delivery and contracting models, and the Welsh Government’s procurement strategy. This questionnaire invites potential bidders to provide their views on a range of issues, including, procurement strategy, climate change, key commercial terms, project scope and potential barriers to bidding. If you are unable to attend the event and wish to share your views via our questionnaire please request a copy of the questionnaire via our mailbox A483LlandeiloandFfairfach@arcadis.com Potential bidders are requested to return their completed questionnaires by 12:00pm (midday) Monday 10th November 2025 to the following address: A483LlandeiloandFfairfach@arcadis.com Depending on the outcome of this engagement process it is possible that Welsh Government may consider changes to the future procurement.
