Summary of the contracting process

Transport for London (TfL), a public authority under the central government, is initiating a procurement process for the replacement of its Coach Management System at Victoria Coach Station. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice date set for 15th August 2025. This tender seeks IT services related to consulting, software development, Internet and support, linked to the central management of service bookings, coach operator schedules, invoicing, and customer information systems. The contract, valued at approximately £9.2 million, aims to begin on 30th April 2026, concluding by 2035, with the potential for renewal until 2046. The main location for this service is London, UK.

This procurement presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for IT service providers skilled in consulting, software development, and support services. Companies that can propose innovative and efficient technological solutions to improve operational efficiency and maintain service quality are well-suited to compete. By aligning with TfL’s strategic delivery plans, businesses can contribute to modernising London's public transport infrastructure while potentially securing a long-term government contract.
