The Council is currently proposing to tender the project as a design and build contract, using the JCT Design and Build Contract 2024 with a Schedule of Amendments. Payment of sub-contractors will be required to be made via a Project Bank Account.

Planning Information

The Council is seeking to engage with contractors experienced in delivery of council/social housing projects to attend an online presentation and question and answer session with the Council and its consultants, to provide an update on the scheme and the Council’s plans for procurement. The Council proposes to hold this online meeting (held via Microsoft Teams) on 12th August 2026 at 2:00pm. Contractors should contact the Council officer listed in this notice to confirm attendance by no later than end of business on 6th August 2026. Details of the arrangements will be sent to interested contractors once finalised. Participation in this market engagement process is voluntary. Non-participation will not prevent any potential contractor from participating in any future procurement process, and participation will not confer any advantage in that process.
