Notice Description
This is a Framework for the provision of Endoscopy Consumables, including but not limited to, Capsule Endoscopy, Diagnostic & Biopsy Tools, Catheters & Balloon Catheters, Dilators, Endoscopic Clips & Needles, Electrosurgical & Endoscopic Probes, Polypectomy, Retrieval & Resection Devices, Guidewires, Endoscopic Markers & Dyes, Stents & Stent Accessories, Endourology Consumables and Endoscopy Accessories.
Lot Information
Capsule Endoscopy
Swallowable diagnostic devices used for minimally invasive visualisation of the gastrointestinal tract. Includes capsule systems and associated accessories.
Options: Direct purchasing and commitment options
Renewal: There is an extension of up to 24 months to be taken in 12 month increments. This will be discussed with the stakeholder group prior to expiry of the initial contract term.
Diagnostic & Biopsy ToolsDevices used to diagnose conditions and obtain tissue samples during endoscopic procedures. Includes biopsy forceps, brushes, and other diagnostic instruments.
Options: Direct purchasing and commitment options.
Renewal: There is an extension of up to 24 months to be taken in 12 month increments. This will be discussed with the stakeholder group prior to expiry of the initial contract term.
Catheters & Balloon CathetersCatheters used for access, dilation, and therapeutic intervention within the gastrointestinal tract and associated systems. Includes standard catheters and balloon catheters for dilation and occlusion.
Options: Direct purchasing and commitment options.
Renewal: There is an extension of up to 24 months to be taken in 12 month increments. This will be discussed with the stakeholder group prior to expiry of the initial contract term.
DilatorsDevices used to widen strictures or narrowed anatomical pathways during endoscopic procedures. Includes bougies and other dilation systems.
Options: Direct purchasing and commitment options.
Renewal: There is an extension of up to 24 months to be taken in 12 month increments. This will be discussed with the stakeholder group prior to expiry of the initial contract term.
Endoscopic Clips & NeedlesDevices used for haemostasis, tissue approximation, and injection during endoscopic procedures. Includes clips and injection needles.
Options: Direct purchasing and commitment options.

Electrosurgical & Endoscopic ProbesElectrosurgical and endoscopic devices used for tissue cutting, coagulation, haemostasis, ablation, and fragmentation during minimally invasive procedures. Includes probes, endoscopic knives, and laser fibres.

Endourology ConsumablesConsumable devices used in endourological procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions within the urinary tract. Includes a range of stents and catheters, access devices, and stone management consumables, along with associated accessories.

Endoscopy AccessoriesGeneral consumables and accessories used to support endoscopic procedures and patient care. Includes a range of single-use and reusable accessories for equipment and patient protection.

Planning Information
NWSSP are looking to conduct a pre-tender engagement session with interested suppliers to present an overview of the tender plan. Interested suppliers are asked to ensure they have emailed NWSSP.ProcurementCatalogueIntervent@wales.nhs.uk to request to join the engagement session no later than Wednesday 10th December 2025. It is our intention to conduct an engagement session virtually via MS Teams on Monday 15th December 2025 at 2pm. This session will include the opportunity for questions to be raised. Following the session, participating organisations will have the ability to email the team to ask any further questions - a 7 day window will be open to facilitate this.
