Summary of the contracting process

Northamptonshire Partnership Homes, acting as the buyer, has initiated a procurement process for a lift consultant to undertake a replacement and upgrade programme for lifts managed by the organisation. This process is currently at the planning stage. The tender, titled "Lift consultant for replacement/upgrade lift programme," falls under the works category and is set in Northampton, United Kingdom. An initial pre-market engagement is scheduled, with interested suppliers encouraged to express their capability by 15th August 2025. The full tendering process is anticipated to commence in early August 2025, with the contract period expected to run from 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2031.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in lift consultancy and installation work, particularly those experienced in large-scale upgrade projects over extended timeframes. Such work will require comprehensive site surveys, technical specification creation, and project management capabilities, with the consultant undertaking the role of Principal Designer under CDM regulations. Businesses with the capacity to deliver bespoke lift solutions and manage projects from conception to completion, including post-installation testing, would be well-suited to compete for this opportunity. This project offers a potential growth avenue for contractors within the lift installation sector, with an estimated contract value of £150,000 to £180,000.
