Summary of the contracting process

This contracting process concerns the ongoing provision of Detection and Enforcement Infrastructure Maintenance Services, initiated by Transport for London (TfL). The initiative falls under the services category, specifically targeting the closed-circuit television sector, and is primarily focused on the UKI region, centred in London. The procurement began in 2014 and entered the operational stage on 20 September 2026, with an initial contract length of five years, later extended to span ten years in total. The contract, which was originally awarded to Siemens plc through an OJEU restricted procedure, has since been novated to Yunex Limited as of 2023, ensuring continuity in supporting critical London traffic schemes such as the Central London Congestion Charging and the Low Emission Zone.

The tender presents noteworthy growth opportunities for businesses specialising in traffic monitoring and enforcement technologies, particularly those with capabilities in providing comprehensive maintenance and infrastructure solutions. Companies well-versed in managing Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and CCTV systems will find this contract particularly beneficial, offering substantial scope for contribution to the enhancement of traffic management services in a major metropolitan area. With a significant contract value and a role in supporting essential city infrastructure, this procurement offers viable long-term partnership potential for large-scale suppliers in the field.
