Electrical Safety and Maintenance Services
Notice Description
Homes in Somerset has approximately 4,000 properties which are a mixture of general needs, supported and extra care properties. Currently electrical safety servicing is required to be carried out by a competent organisation to our domestic and communal buildings and are included within this contract. This specification details the requirement for 5 yearly periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations in communal areas and domestic dwellings and properties. Void properties and properties where a mutual exchange is taking place will require a full inspection and test before any new occupancy that adheres to current legislative requirements. Also included are: * Annual External Lighting and external suppliers testing and inspection * Annual portable appliance testing * Electrical repairs works - cat 1, cat 2 and cat 3 as required

Renewal: Contract may be extended year on year by mutual agreement between the parties up to a total of 5 years
Planning Information
Submissions of expressions of interest should be sent to procurement@homesinsomerset.org. Draft specification documents will then be provided for comment. A question and answer session is planned over Teams for 12th August at 11am. Interested parties can join this session to raise any questions relating to the specification prior to tender release.
