Notice Information
Notice Title
Photo Voltaic Solar Panels
Notice Description
The Trust is working towards the NHS net zero carbon target and its own green plan to achieve a service that has a reduced environmental impact. Solar PV will support the reduction in emissions linked to energy use from our estate as well as reducing overall electricity spend and providing the security of generating our own electricity. SWASFT has been awarded funding from the Great British Energy Solar Partnerships Programme (NHS) (previously NEEF) to deliver solar PV systems at five sites during 2025/2026. There is limited solar PV across the Trusts premises and this project will aid the Trust in meeting the carbon reduction targets against the Trusts annual electricity use of more than 4,500,000 kWh. The aim of the project is to install solar PV at five Trust sites to reduce the Trusts emissions and cost from electricity. Great British Energy Solar Partnerships Programme (NHS) funding has been awarded for each site. Each site requires a solar PV system; the only exception is Falfield which also requires a battery storage solution too. Lots: Lot 1- Tiverton * Lot 2- Falmouth * Lot 3- Frome * Lot 4- Dorchester * Lot 5- Falfield (including battery storage)
