Lot Information
Lot 1
Renewal: The contract includes an option to extend for up to twelve (12) months solely to allow additional time for completion of the builds in the event of delivery delays, subject to Welsh Government approval. The extension carries no additional financial value and does not provide for the commissioning of any additional units.
Planning Information
The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) will shortly be going out to tender for new mobile blood donation units with generators and support vehicles. The requirement will be phased over the financial years 26/27 and 27/28. Ahead of publishing the formal tender opportunity, WBS would like to invite suppliers to participate in a supplier engagement exercise. The purpose of these sessions is to: • Provide a brief overview of the upcoming requirement. • Offer suppliers the opportunity to showcase relevant experience and capabilities. • Allow WBS to better understand market capacity and any potential delivery challenges. Format: A short virtual session (via MS Teams), including a presentation and discussion, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes per supplier. Available Dates and Times: • Wednesday 17th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm • Thursday 18th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm • Friday 19th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm • Wednesday 24th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm • Thursday 25th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm • Friday 26th September 25 – 1:00–1:45pm | 2:00–2:45pm | 3:00–3:45pm Next Steps: If you wish to participate, please confirm your interest by emailing philip.jones12@wales.nhs.uk no later than 5:00pm on Friday the 5th of September 2025.
