Group Plant & Tool Hire Tender
Notice Description
MAG is seeking to award a contract for the provision of Plant and Tool Hire services across its UK airports through a Competitive Flexible Procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023. The successful supplier will be required to provide access to a comprehensive range of plant, powered access equipment, lifting equipment, accommodation units, generators, pumps, survey equipment, temporary site equipment, tools and associated accessories to support operational, maintenance and construction activities across Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands Airport. The contract will also support the requirements of approved third-party contractors operating on MAG sites. The appointed supplier will be responsible for the supply, delivery, collection and ongoing support of hire assets, together with management information and spend reporting to support effective contract management and continuous improvement throughout the contract term. The procurement seeks to establish a single contractual arrangement with a supplier capable of delivering a responsive, compliant and commercially competitive service across all MAG locations. Options: While this agreement has the primary purpose of enabling the hire of assets within the scope, there is also potential for purchases to be made through the contract period.
Renewal: The proposed contract will include optional extension periods, exercisable at Manchester Airports Group's discretion. The initial contract term is expected to be three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to two (2) additional one-year periods, giving a maximum total contract duration of five (5) years.
Planning Information
MAG Airport is undertaking preliminary market engagement to gain refreshed insights into current market capabilities and interest. Previous tender exercises have focused solely on the provision of equipment and plant hire. As we consider the potential inclusion of consumables within the scope, we are seeking to understand whether this would be a viable strategic direction, and to assess whether there is sufficient capacity and capability within the market to meet our overall requirements. To support this, MAG is inviting up to six organisations to participate in 30 minute initial discussions via Microsoft Teams. These sessions will provide an opportunity for mutual introductions and allow MAG to share its current thinking while gaining valuable market input to help shape any future procurement activity. Meetings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will take place over the next two weeks.
