Summary of the contracting process

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited has procured a framework for digital, information technology and data consultancy services across the United Kingdom. Lot 1, General Consultancy Services, was awarded on 21 July 2026 to Accenture, Ove Arup, CGI, Expleo, KPMG Ireland and PA Consulting for £3,000,000 excluding VAT (£3,600,000 including VAT). Lot 2, Data Protection Consultancy Services, was awarded the same date to Bridewell Consulting and KPMG Ireland for £560,000 excluding VAT (£672,000 including VAT). Lot 3, Independent EA Assurance Services, was awarded to Accenture, KPMG Ireland and Resulting for £3,000,000 excluding VAT (£3,600,000 including VAT). Each contract is planned from 7 August 2026 to 7 August 2029, with extensions possible to 7 August 2033. Signature is scheduled for 31 July 2026.

This award demonstrates established demand from a regulated Northern Irish utility for multidisciplinary digital, data and IT consultancy delivered at UK scale. NIE Networks now wishes to award a Framework Agreement for Digital, IT and Data Services. This procurement relates to Framework Digital, IT and Data Consultancy Services. This framework agreement comprises of three Lots.
