Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is initiated by Warwick District Council, which is seeking to maintain and check water features and paddling pools as part of its environmental services. The process is currently in the planning stage, with premarket engagement activities scheduled for early November 2025. These virtual meetings, hosted via MSTeams, aim to gather feedback on the project scope and feasibility, outlining requirements in detail. Businesses interested in attending should register by 15th November 2025. This opportunity, classified under works and services, is located in the UKG13 region, Leamington Spa, United Kingdom, focusing on ensuring that contracted services achieve net-zero carbon by 2025. The anticipated start of the contract is May 2026, running initially for three years with a potential extension based on performance.

This tender presents a strategic opportunity for businesses involved in environmental services, particularly those specialising in equipment for swimming pools, park infrastructure, and water treatment works. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly well-placed to engage due to the suitability criteria. The council prioritises innovative solutions towards its carbon-neutral goals, thus companies with a strong sustainability focus or expertise in low-carbon technologies may gain an advantage. The tender also allows businesses to contribute to an ambitious environmental commitment, potentially enhancing their portfolio within the public sector.
