Notice Title

Health Improvement Training for Core20PLUS5 Connectors Phase 2

Notice Description

In 2024-25 the Health Inequalities Improvement Team (HIIT) commissioned the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) to develop an accredited training programme for Core20PLUS5 Connectors - community leaders committed to reducing health inequalities in their locality - to increase their understanding of the principles of promoting health and wellbeing, the importance of effective communication, and how to influence practical improvements for their communities. This training was piloted with three small cohorts totalling 25 Connectors. Now in 2025-26 (Phase 2), building on the success of these pilots, we want to scale up delivery of the Level 2 Award in Public Health. We will do this by commissioning the RSPH to develop and deliver a Train the Trainer course. Connectors that successfully completed the course during the pilot phase will be eligible to attend and become Trainers able to deliver the Level 2 Award in Public Health. On comple
