Notice Description
Great British Energy (GBE) is designed to power Britain with clean, secure, home-grown energy and become a global leader in clean energy. GBE will invest in, develop, build, and operate the technology needed to increase the UK's energy independence, giving communities a direct stake in the clean energy revolution. The organisation is set up as an Arm's Length Body to DESNZ, with its own CEO and enabling legislation. The delivery of Great British Energy's (GBE) strategic objectives relies on a robust set of arrangements for procuring professional services. GBE Senior Leadership team were engaged to identify a list of activities they know their business areas are likely to require at least in the short term, but likely to be required over the next three years also. These requirements span a diverse range of technical, commercial, and organisational capabilities, ensuring that GBE is equipped to address the complexities of the UK's clean energy transition. GBE intends to undertake the following procurements to deliver these servcies: Technical & Professional Advisory Services - via an open Competitive Flexible Procedure Financial & Commercial Due Diligence Support - via the Crown Commercial Service's Management Consultancy 4 (MCF4) Framework (Lot 4 Finance) Technical Due Diligence Support - via the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero's Energy and Net Zero Professional Services (ENZPS) Framework (Lot 2 Renewables & Infrastructure). The anticipated spend over three years for all professional services is up to PS30million including VAT.
Planning Information
GBE are inviting Suppliers for each identified route to market to hear about each requirement in a single event. This will provide an appreciation of how the Services will interact. This event will outline and test the opportunities and does not commit GBE to undertaking these procurements. The intention of the event is to test contractual arrangements and scope with the market to identify opportunities for improvement, hence we would strongly appreciate any participation. GBE will host an online virtual Market Engagement Event which will consist of an online interactive presentation via Microsoft Teams. This will be followed up by a questionnaire to all attendees which we would encourage people to respond to. The event is scheduled to occur 10th December 11:00-12:00 GMT. If you wish to attend, please sign up using the form here: https://forms.office.com/e/bVyzJrqRtX If you are unable to attend the event but would still wish to hear about the opportunities, there is an option to do so in the above form. As a reminder, only those Suppliers awarded a place on the identified Frameworks will be able to submit mini competition responses to these identified due diligence Services. Neither of threse Frameworks are open for new applications. However, the Competitive Flexible Procedure is an open procurement for any Supplier to respond to, run under the conditions established in the Procurement Act 2023. This Notice is informing Suppliers of an Early Market Engagement Event and is not notifying the commencement of a procurement opportunity.
