Summary of the contracting process

ScotRail Trains Limited procured air reservoir overhaul services for railway vehicles. The work covered inspection, dismantling, cleaning, examination, repair, reassembly, painting and testing of reservoirs used on Class 153, 156 and 158 trains, and HST Class 43 power cars and Mark III coaches. The services must be in accordance with WOSS 310/8 Version 4: Repair Procedure - Dismantling, Cleaning, Examination and Repair, Reassembly and Pain ting, and Test Specification for train classes 153, 156, 158, & HSTs. As part of this service, SRTL requires the supplier to deliver a robust identification labelling system to asset manage each tank to identify the kit and record the overhaul completion date and associated data.
