Northern Ireland Water Limited is procuring generator supply and specialist support services. The requirement covers fixed and mobile generators, including supply, hire, on-site installation, maintenance, repair and modification work, together with spare and replacement parts. The work is categorised as generator services, with CPV classifications for generators, generating sets, generator repair and maintenance, and generator installation. The requirement applies across fixed and mobile generator equipment and associated hire arrangements.

The procurement has reached tender: Northern Ireland Water Limited invited offers using a selective competitive flexible procedure. There is one lot. The enquiry deadline was 29 July 2026 at 23:59, and the expression-of-interest and submission deadline was extended to 7 August 2026 at 12:00. The planned award date is 30 October 2026. The contract is scheduled to run from 3 February 2027 to 2 February 2030, with two optional extensions of up to 24 months each, allowing a maximum end date of 2 February 2034. The estimated value is £6,000,000 excluding VAT, or £7,200,000 including VAT. Evaluation is based on 60% price and 40% quality.

This opportunity suits generator specialists able to provide both equipment and responsive technical services for fixed and mobile assets. Suppliers should be able to install, maintain, repair and modify generators on site and off site, supply and fit replacement parts, and provide generator hire with associated equipment. The requirement calls for suitably qualified and trained personnel, including an approved original equipment manufacturer engineer for mains and generator air circuit breaker work, maintenance and commissioning. Experience with G99 generator interface protection will be relevant. The scale and breadth of the requirement favour businesses with sufficient engineering capacity, mobile service capability, equipment access and the ability to support a long-term utilities contract.
