Summary of the contracting process

The Financial Assurance Framework procurement process led by the Department of Health & Social Care, in conjunction with the NHS Business Services Authority, seeks to establish a framework for financial consultancy services to support major transformation programmes. This endeavour is set within the services industry category, focusing on financial consultancy and market operational services. The location of the procurement activities spans the United Kingdom, primarily engaging stakeholders in London and Newcastle upon Tyne. The latest award stage concluded on 1 July 2026, with a planned contract period running from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2032. The procurement method employed is an open, competitive flexible procedure aimed at securing the best expertise available.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for large consultancy firms and those offering specialised financial advisory services. Businesses equipped to provide assurance and support to complex procurement and sourcing programmes are particularly well-suited to compete. The framework is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing structures while providing the necessary financial oversight to key NHS projects.
