Notice Description

The Ministry of Defence intends to award a Combined Support Contract to Viking Arms Limited for: i) the supply of surveillance and target acquisition equipment and weapons, including rifles, shotguns and pistols; and ii) the repair and maintenance of these capabilities. The contract will be for a period of 5 years and have a value of up to PS4,500,000 (ex VAT).

Procurement Information

It is considered that this contract can be awarded under section 41 of the Procurement Act 2023 because the direct award justification specified in para 6 of Schedule 5 (single supplier - technical grounds) applies. This is because Viking Arms Limited is the sole authorised UK distributor for the following manufacturers; Glock Ges.m.b.H., L3Harris Technologies, Inc., Leupold & Stevens, Inc., J.G. ANSCHUTZ GmbH & Co. KG, and Radar Leather Division S.r.L. Consequently, it is the only supplier with the necessary technical data, knowledge, and expertise, and it maintains the proprietary documentation. There are no reasonable alternatives for these goods or services.
