The University of Edinburgh has appointed suppliers to an Estate wide asbestos works and services framework agreement for the provision of asbestos surveys, analytical services, removal and remediation works. This framework is divided into 3 lots, as described below. Lot 1 Asbestos Removal Works. Lot 2 Surveying and Analytical Services -Central & Med and Vets Lot 3 Surveying and Analytical Services - Kings Buildings & Accommodation Area 3 suppliers have been appointed to Lot 1. 4 suppliers have been appointed to Lot 2 and Lot 3. The Framework Agreement was tendered on behalf of the University of Edinburgh and all University of Edinburgh Subsidiary Companies. Any and all of the University of Edinburgh's Subsidiary Companies may access and utilise this Framework at any time during the life of the agreement. The initial Contract period is for 2 years from 22nd May 2026 to 21st May 2026. The University, in its sole discretion, has two options to extend for periods of 1-year each, potentially taking the contract through to 21st May 2030 if all extensions are applied. This Framework Agreement has been awarded via an Open Procedure.

The initial Contract period is for 2 years from 22nd May 2026 to 21st May 2026. The University, in its sole discretion, has two options to extend for periods of 1-year each, potentially taking the contract through to 21st May 2030 if all extensions are applied. The overarching terms of Lot 3 of the Framework are University's standard Terms & Conditions for Goods and Services. This Framework Agreement has been awarded via an Open Procedure.

The overarching terms of Lot 1 of the Framework is the SBCC Framework Agreement for use in Scotland (FA/Scot) 2014 Edition, with underlying contract being the SBCC Minor Works Building Contract for use in Scotland (MW/Scot 2016).
