Summary of the contracting process

NHS England is seeking a single lead provider for the delivery of Specialised Pharmaceutical Logistics and Warehouse Services to bolster its Vaccination & Immunisation Programmes. This opportunity is managed under an open procurement procedure with a contract value estimated at around £40.9 million. The process is part of the planning stage and is active as of 26 January 2026. Prospective bidders should note that the tender period closes on 20 February 2026, with enquiries due by 6 February 2026. Services will be distributed across several UK regions, encompassing locations such as Community Pharmacies and General Practices. The procurement falls under the 'services' category, specifically focusing on storage and warehousing.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in logistics and pharmaceutical supply chains to expand their service portfolios. The contract aims not only to establish a robust supply chain network for vaccines but also to leverage the infrastructure and expertise developed during the COVID-19 response. Companies with capabilities in operational service delivery, quality control, and supply chain resilience will be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, there's an emphasis on social value, including themes such as COVID-19 recovery, economic inequality reduction, and environmental stewardship, which may appeal to organisations with strong corporate social responsibility frameworks.
