Notice Description

To carry out coring works on various highways located within the geographical boundaries of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) manages and maintains an extensive and diverse highway network of approximately 930 square miles. In accordance with the Council's statutory duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), ERYC must ensure that all utility reinstatements are inspected, assessed and confirmed as compliant with the relevant specifications. To support this duty, the Council will operate a comprehensive Coring Programme designed to verify the quality of reinstatement works undertaken by statutory undertakers and their contractors. The appointed Coring Provider will be required to undertake up to 4,000 cores per annum, including all associated pre-site activities, traffic management, core extraction, laboratory testing and reporting.
