Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process detailed here involves the NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board, which is set to award a contract for the Provision of Mental Health Crisis House Service, specifically at Highbury Grove Recovery House. This facility, located in Haringey and Islington, serves men experiencing a mental health crisis. The procurement falls under the industry category of psychiatrist or psychologist services. The contract is in the award stage, with a decision made on 11th December 2025, and representations must be submitted by 17th February 2026. The service will run from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027, valued at £753,823. Notably, this process follows a limited procurement method, involving an award without prior competition due to the specific nature of these services under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime regulations 2023.

This tender offers growth opportunities for businesses within the mental health services sector, particularly those with experience in non-clinical crisis accommodation and community-based mental health support. Organisations like Hestia Housing and Support, which has been identified as the intended provider, would be well-suited to compete, due to their capabilities in providing accommodation-based services with integrated psychiatric and psychological input. Such contracts can foster business growth by expanding service portfolios in public health sectors, enhancing market reputation, and establishing long-term relationships with government health bodies.
