Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is initiated by the LHC Procurement Group, intending to develop a new Windows and Doors Framework (WD3). This framework seeks to enhance the existing Windows and Doors product offering (WD2) with improved specifications and regulatory requirements. The industry category falls under 'works', with delivery locations spread across various regions in the United Kingdom, including UKC, UKD, UKE, and others. Currently in the planning phase, the procurement engagement is scheduled to conclude by 2nd March 2026, with a future notice date anticipated on 15th April 2026. This is a framework agreement with a proposed contract period from 1st August 2026 to 31st July 2030, with an optional extension until 1st August 2031.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in the manufacture and installation of windows and doors. With lots covering PVC-U, timber, and aluminium-clad timber products, companies can explore innovation in high-performance and heritage-compliant designs. Additionally, there may be opportunities for companies involved in advanced glazing solutions, emerging materials, and potential inspection and maintenance services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, given the framework's suitability requirements, offering the potential for substantial business growth through a substantial contract value projected at £120 million to £140 million GBP.
