The Department for Science, Innovation & Technology is conducting a procurement process titled "GOV Voice," focusing on the services industry category. This initiative is at the planning stage, targeting the deployment of AI voice technology solutions to enhance the experience of government call centres. Interested parties must participate in a pre-market engagement, with responses due by 12:00 noon on Monday, 2nd March 2026. This project involves stakeholders throughout the United Kingdom, with the primary location in London. The engagement commenced on 16th February 2026, and the contract period is expected to start on 26th June 2026 and conclude by 29th June 2026. This tender represents a significant business opportunity particularly for companies specialising in communication software and IT services, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Organisations with expertise in AI solutions that have demonstrable success in both public and private sectors may find this tender an excellent opportunity for business expansion. The procurement seeks insights into existing AI technologies with a focus on functionality, scalability, and interoperability, providing potential suppliers the chance to showcase innovative solutions and establish valuable partnerships with the central government.
