Procurement Information

An Invitation to Tender was run in 2024 but the tender responses received were not suitable and a supplier could not be chosen. According to the PCR2015 regulation 32(2)(a) we demonstrated that we have discharged our legal duty to approach the market. Since we didn't receive any suitable tenders, we were allowed to terminate the procurement on the basis of having received no suitable bids. This then allowed us to engage with a single supplier. We did that and contacted the supplier Weiss Technik to engage with and obtain a quote from. In addition to the above the estates engineering and science teams have been through a thorough discussion and documentation of the User Requirement Document ensuring that the supplier will deliver exactly what is required of the chamber, from both a science and estates perspective.
