Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board intends to award a contract to University of South Wales for the provision of Continued Professional Development Training of nurses and midwives.

Direct Award is appropriate due to proven capability of the incumbent provider, and that there are staff already enrolled on courses that run over a number of years and promoting consistency in education across the workforce resulting in consistent care provided to patients. The justification grounds under Section 41; Schedule 5 of the Act are: Additional or Repeat Goods, Services or Works. To replace the Provider would incur costs and potential harm to completion of the existing provision.
