The current RTS system Yorkshire Water uses requires RTU's which can communicate via the Medina protocol. This is intellectual property owned by the supplier YW intend to direct award and therefore until a new RTS system, which can support an Open protocol, is implemented, it is required to use the sole supplier that can provide compatible hardware.
